New Video! - The innards of a Sheaffer Vac-Fill!

Here's a pen that once broken down is easy to understand. However, there's a lot of confusion when people try to describe it without proper pictures or with complex drawings. I thought I'd try and make a little more sense with this video here. Hope this helps.

Note: In the video you will hear me speak of a link to a reference on vac-fillers. Here is the link.

Also, forgive my cheap camera footage. It's not so great... :) At least you can see what I'm doing though!

If you enjoyed this video please drop me a comment below! If you didn't enjoy this video please also drop me not and tell me how I can improve. I'd love to hear your suggestions!

  1. Tyler, thanks for the video.  It's really interesting to see the workings of this type of fountain pen.  You certainly made it easy to understand.  So, when will you do a video for a button filler? ;-)

  2. That was pretty cool. I had a vague idea of how vac fillers work but this cleared it up some more. The video is good, nothing wrong with it. If I were to nitpick I would suggest that you use a larger mat.

  3.  Great, glad you liked it!

Button filler video: Well, I've got a button filler coming in for repair next week. I might use that one for video purposes while it's "in the shop"... We'll see!Regards,777 - Tyler Dahl

  5. It would be even better if u posted a video showing how to get the packking unit from the blind side out and how to remove triumph nibs from the writing end. Thanks and cheers Rishi Nair, India.
